About this blog

One day I read an article about a blogging platform called Posterous. Its simplicity was appealing—to post, you just sent an e-mail to post@posterous.com and attached any media you wanted to include.

My daughter, then 4, was messing around nearby, so I wrote a blurb about her and sent it off. Within a minute, Posterous sent me a link to a newly-posted page.  I liked the result and my blog was born.

That was in November 2008, in Ulaanbaatar. I named the blog Out of Mongolia: Many are Cold, but Few are Frozen. I change the name whenever I move to a new country, but the link and the history stay the same.
