Out of Mongolia

Many are cold, but few are frozen

Heading into my second winter and dreading it. Summer was great, though much too short.

Still miss Indonesia.

Not in Nirvana just yet

With all the recent snow and rain, my car was filthy. I finally brought it in for a wash. The whole process takes about an hour, which I usually spend with a Blackberry in a small waiting room.

But today there was a Buddhist monk in there, wearing a red hat and reading a magazine. I couldn't get my head around it. I've never thought about monks on the road, and I definitely never expected to be at a car wash with one. Especially a monk doing something so completely and totally ordinary.
