Milking a Cow in Mongolia
Squirt by squirt
I was in the Mongolian countryside this weekend, with a family that owns over 500 sheep, goats, cows and horses. Twice a day, every day, they have to milk the cows. I watched the process with fascination. I've never seen a cow being milked before. Yet all the milk we drink is produced more or less in the same way: by manipulating cow udders.
It doesn't matter if it's by hand or machine, all milk comes to us squirt by squirt.
